Maelstrom transforms the Bangkok Kunsthalle into an immersive audiovisual environment in which moving image, architecture, and sound operate as a single spatial composition. Through second-order Ambisonics, the work constructs a virtual acoustic space that extends beyond the physical architecture, allowing voices, environmental sounds, and low-frequency vibrations to circulate throughout the building. Rather than functioning as a soundtrack, sound defines the space itself, encouraging active listening as audiences move through shifting acoustic perspectives. The installation invites visitors to experience the site as a dynamic field where memory, history, and perception unfold through the interplay of image, resonance, and architectural space.
